MERIDIANI ROADSHOW AT STUDIOLO 1844

The Roadshow “Nature is home” arrives at Padua: Studiolo 1844 showroom at Albignasego hosts the seventh and last stop of the travelling exhibition dedicated to the design, which moulds around the materials and colours of nature. The inspiring topic is Foliage, which involves a living area and a dining area where the nature creates material suggestions and animates the products with its colours like the autumn red, and its materials like wood, marble, and natural fibres.

On this occasion we have interviewed Elena Bulatova, Co-founder of Studiolo 1844, with whom we talked about the present and the future of furniture design.

·        What does it mean being a furniture retailer today?

It means not only to sell furniture, but to be able to meet the clients’ needs and to surprise them with the design. It means to make every people dream regardless their budget.

 

·        How does the way of designing (and living) spaces change in the post-pandemic era? 

People have a greater awareness of the house and its liveability. They try to include green areas into their projects and use comfortable and sustainable materials. They need more natural spaces, and even those who do not have outdoor ways out, want to recreate garden areas with wood furniture. The house becomes an intimate space to be fully lived.

 

·        Which are the three keywords of the design and customer service in an increasingly demanding and ever-changing world?

…is ours. A house to welcome people like guests and not like clients. A place not necessarily having huge but complete spaces where people can experience the product. Innovation, research, and expertise are essential.
