MERIDIANI ROADSHOW AT CUMINI INTERIORS

The Roadshow “Nature is home” starts from Friuli-Venezia Giulia: it is Cumini Interiors in Gemona del Friuli to host the first stop of the travelling exhibition dedicated to design that magically moulds around the colours and materials of nature. The inspiring topic is Forest, that includes one living and one dining area, in which nature creates material suggestions and gives soul to the products, with its colours, such as the forest green, and its materials, from wood, to marble and natural fibres.

 

On this occasion we have interviewed Mr. Andrea Cumini, owner of Cumini Interiors and new partner for Meridiani, with whom we talked about the present and future of furniture design.

 

·         What does it mean to be a furniture retailer?

Probably I would no longer use the word furniture retailer, but interior design consultant: this makes a huge leap in the approach that companies like Cumini have on the market, because we no longer offer the single product but we accompany the customer in all design phases.

·         How does the way of designing (and living) the spaces change in the post-pandemic era? 

Finally the house has taken center stage in people's lives. This has brought out new customer needs and necessarily determined the quality that a project must have, which is no longer a container of products but materials, colours, functions and, consequently, design.

·         Which are the 3 keywords of design and customer service in an increasingly demaning and ever-changing world?

I would answer to this question with one sentence: Designing shared experiences.

COMPLETE THE SENCENCE: The Store of the future…

…will be more Human-Centric, because stores are becoming human experiences that do not end with the purchase, but rather make the experience a unique and engaging emotion. This is because people no longer buy products or services, but they buy to live real experiences.
