MERIDIANI ROADSHOW AT ARREDAMENTI ONLYWOOD

The Roadshow “Nature is home” arrives in Piedmont: it is Arredamenti Onlywood in Turin to host the second stop of the travelling exhibition dedicated to design that magically moulds around the colours and materials of nature. The inspiring topic is Foliage, that includes one living and one dining area, in which nature creates material suggestions and gives soul to the products, with its colours, such as the autumnal red, and its materials, from wood, to marble and natural fibres.

 

On this occasion we have interviewed Mr. Claudio Zimbone, CEO of Arredamenti Onlywood, with whom we talked about the present and future of furniture design.

 

·         What does it mean to be a furniture retailer?

Today being a furniture retailer means NOT just being a seller. The secret to being successful is to become the personal consultant of each client, trying to satisfy his needs by creating a tailored project paying attention to every detai,l without forgetting aesthetics and functionality.

·         How does the way of designing (and living) the spaces change in the post-pandemic era? 

In the post-pandemic era, the perception of spaces has changed: habits and personal needs have evolved in line with the social changes that have taken place during the lock-down. The private citizen, after having rediscovered the value of the harmonious spaces of the house, pays attention not only to the design, but also to the origin of the products, preferring sustainable materials with a low environmental impact.

·         Which are the 3 keywords of design and customer service in an increasingly demaning and ever-changing world?

Empathy: the interior designer has to be in line with the customer and be his 360° consultant

Personalization: create a project that reflects 100% the personality and needs of the client

Knowledge: the project would be perfect if the interior designer is always update with innovative materials and design
